Karen OLeary Engelbart and Doug Engelbart, by Robert Holmgren 2007 Engeleary Ventures Karen O’Leary met Douglas Engelbart in 1998 when she was assigned to write an article about him for a Silicon Valley magazine. Engelbart had just been inducted into the National Inventors Hall of Fame in recognition of a lifetime of achievements, including the invention of the computer mouse. Now Karen and Doug Engelbart are collaborating on inventions of their own which will include fairy tales for grown-ups that depict themes that integrate their different domains; his: augmenting the collective I.Q.to address the complex, urgent problems of humankind; hers: theology, psychology & the arts; theirs: the need to participate in the evolution and transformation of themselves and their surrounding communities.
